Kirk Herbstreit always reveals the players, coaches, and teams that impressed him the most after each week of college football action.

After Week 5, the veteran analyst identified 7 teams that stood out the most.

Herbstreit gave the No. 1 spot to the Alabama Crimson Tide after they defeated the Georgia Bulldogs 41-34 in a primetime thriller.

The Tide got out to a hot start, leading 30-7 at the half. The Bulldogs mounted a comeback, but thanks to Jalen Milroe and Ryan Williams, the Tide were able to escape with the win and stay perfect.

At No. 2, Herbstreit has the Kentucky Wildcats. The Wildcats shocked the college football world by going to Oxford and taking down the Ole Miss Rebels. Kentucky improved to 3-2 on the season and earned a win over a top-10 team in the process.

For the next 3 slots, Herbstreit went out west, shouting out Arizona, UNLV, and Colorado in that order. Arizona upset Utah at home, earning a quality win and inserting themselves into the Big 12 race in the process.

UNLV was involved in turmoil last week as their QB announced his intention to redshirt midweek. The team responded by dominating Fresno State, winning 59-14.

Colorado went all the way to Florida to take on UCF as a big underdog. The team went on to win easily 48-21 in Orlando.

Finally, Kansas State and Notre Dame got the final spots respectively. Kansas State dominated Oklahoma State in a conference game, while Notre Dame earned a quality win over Louisville.
