Leonard Fournette promised to give back to the South Carolina community, which was ravaged by historic flooding last month.

Fournette and LSU football will begin a charity auction on Saturday at 7 a.m. local time with all proceeds going to South Carolina’s flood relief fund. The jersey Fournette wore in last month’s win over the Gamecocks will be part of a memorabilia package that includes helmets signed by Les Miles and Steve Spurrier.

“Having been through a similar situation with my family during Hurricane Katrina when I was 10 years old, this is something that I wanted to do to help those in need,” Fournette said. “The generosity of people helped my family make it through Hurricane Katrina. I’m hopeful that the money raised with this auction can make a difference for those flood victims in South Carolina.”

Fournette will sign his game-worn jersey.
