If there’s one thing Urban Meyer knows how to do, it’s get his teams ready for rivalry games.

Matter of fact, Urban Meyer owns Michigan, as he’s undefeated against the Wolverines since taking the Ohio State head coaching job.

That certainly continued Saturday, as the Buckeyes beat the Wolverines in Ohio State 62-39.

Obviously, this win does a number of things. It re-energizes Urban Meyer, who has looked weak the last few weeks. It also shakes up the College Football Playoff Rankings. The Wolverines were ranked No. 4, and the Buckeyes were ranked No. 10, one spot behind UCF. It’ll be interesting to see the implications Tuesday when the next round of rankings are unveiled. Remember, Georgia is No. 5 and Oklahoma is No. 6.

Ohio State advances to the Big Ten Championship Game to face Northwestern.

No doubt, though, that this is the Ohio State team that everyone predicted before the season. From last week’s Maryland game — one of the worst performances of the season — to this week’s Michigan game — the best performance of the season, the selection committee will certainly take note.

Michigan and Jim Harbaugh, on the other hand, won’t hear the end of this one.
