Opening lines released for SEC's Week 7 games
Following Saturday night’s action, which featured six Southeastern Conference matchups, we only have four games scheduled to be played in the league next weekend.
But that doesn’t mean next weekend will be lacking for drama as the SEC East will likely be decided in Jacksonville as Florida and Georgia are set to meet next weekend with first place in the SEC East on the line.
Georgia has beaten Florida three consecutive seasons, which comes immediately after the Gators held a three-game streak over the Bulldogs.
We also have two games featuring coaches that could really use a win to get their fan base off their backs as Jeremy Pruitt’s Tennessee program faces Arkansas on the road and Will Muschamp’s South Carolina is set to host a red-hot Texas A&M team.
The other game on the slate features Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, two teams desperate for a win.
The betting lines were just released for each of the seven matchups in the SEC next weekend, courtesy of Las Vegas-based Circa Sports.
Here are the lines Circa Sports just released for Week 7 in the SEC:
State will win 4-3.
Yep, two safeties.
That’s rich. I’m predicting Vandy winning 2-0.
Maybe we can get one like that State-Auburn game from forever ago that ended 3-2.
Lot of unknowns for the Dawgs this week….who’s healthy and who’s our QB? Is Pickens going to be on the field? He opens up the passing game a little if nothing else. Florida should have numerous suspensions but the conference will look the other way on that. If you’re a Florida fan and not embarrassed to have Mullen as your coach you are lying. You wear a costume to press conference…Let’s go Hogs…beat them Vols! Go Dawgs!!!
While I agree Mullen is a little quirky, I thought it was funny seeing him in that costume. COVID-19 has rocked our world and maybe he was just trying to be spontaneous. A little spirit infused in this doom & gloom year of 2020.
It’s a sad world we live in when a coach wears a costume on Halloween and gets criticized for it. Sorry Senoia, but not embarrassed at all to have him as our coach, quite happy actually.
UGA has many players on Defense injured coming off the KY game incl safety Richard Lecount involved in a motor vehicle accident. Slowing the FLA offense down was going to be a tall order anyway.
Potential suspensions coming for FLA, many strange outcomes from this game over the years…..plus it’s 2020 so who knows what will happen.
Just very glad it’s being played at all and in Jax too.
Hey, I forgot about a bunch of suspensions possible for Florida. That could increase the betting line in favor of Georgia I would guess. We’ll see what Spankey in the office has to say.
If Uk had a offense to go with our defense we would be eveyones nightmare including the Tides. It is what it is tho until coaches make a change we will always lose to the big dogs
Arkansas is still trying to figure out how they couldnt get Vandy..Vandy was trying to figure out how they didnt get Arky (well, they were before the season started). The line doesnt look right for TAMU-SC. And I guess Tennessee is looking at Arkansas as some salve and hoping it doesnt turn out to be salt on an open wound. Florida/Georgia will just be a must watch.
Flo, atm, msu and a coin flip for ut v ark
They ark has played so far I really think the line is backwards. Is this the worst year ever for qb’s in the East and the west isn’t a lot better. Other than trask nobody has a very good qb. Bazelak is probably 2nd best but he’s not real good either. In the west jones is the cream. Mond is playing really well but haven’t we seen this before. Nix is Jekyll and Hyde, as is corral. Strange year for the qb position.
Actually I should have had franks at 2nd best in the East. Or maybe he and Bazelak tied for it. Neither are great but both are ok.
Franks is in the West.
There is no way we should be favored
Florida 27-20, Arkansas 31-21, Texas A&M 30-27, Vanderbilt 20-10
Can’t believe they are picking Tennessee. I’ve got Arkansas in that one. I’ll probably pick Florida, depending on suspensions. I think A&M will blow Carolina off the field. Can Vandy get a win?
I am going with Tennessee!
After watching the replay on my computer and being able to slow it down and pinpoint certain areas, I see 2 suspensions for Florida. Only 2 players threw punches. One was retaliatory to two punches from Mizzou players, so that MAY be considered.
HOWEVER, that doesn’t take into account possible suspensions from things that may have been said. I’ve heard of players being kicked out of games for certain things they said to another player that were considered egregious.
As for Mullen, after watching it several times, he went to the refs to tell them off and turned on the Mizzou players/coaches after something was said to him. I obviously have no idea what was said, or what he said in return, but you can see that he was facing a ref and yelling and a player says something behind him that pulls his attention from the refs.
Mullen is a dork…he should be suspended for starting that brawl last night…out of control and lucky he didn’t get the wrong end of somebody…Players get ejected because their coach loses it and puts his players at risk
So just Mullen? What about the multiple Mizzou staff members that threw punches?
I get that you’re blinded by the rivalry, but Mullen was a good 10-15 yards away, with his back turned, when the fight started. Not sure how he is responsible for that.
Sankey should go to the source, suspend the ref for not doing his job. The refs need to be fined for once maybe they’ll start doing their job.
Gotta take tenn no ifs ands or pork
I could see the UT line if it was at Knoxville. Should be an interesting game. The UT/Arky games are usually weird. Exciting, but weird.
