Once a prized recruit, Snoop Dogg's son says he only played football for his dad
Cordell Broadus, the son of Snoop Dogg and 2015 four-star wide receiver, revealed this week that he only decided to play college football to impress his father and said that he’s found happiness now that it’s over.
Broadus spurned USC for UCLA on National Signing Day in February, but quit the Bruins football team during fall practice.
Broadus on Tuesday posted the following message on Instagram about Snoop:
“I played football for my father because I thought that was the only way he would love me & be apart of my life. It took me 12 years to realize he loves Cordell Broadus the person not Cordell Broadus the football player. The best day of my life was when I heard those exact words.”
