Report: Current SEC head coach connected to Miami job after Mark Richt's retirement
Miami coach Mark Richt announced his retirement on Sunday morning, shocking the college football world (and his own AD).
Now, though, fans and reporters have had a chance to regroup, and names are starting to surface as potential replacements in Miami.
And, per a couple of tweets from Justin Rowland of Rivals, current Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops could be in the mix to land the job:

Second source believes Mark Stoops will "100%" be on Miami's list and probably short list https://t.co/Kdy2BymAj0

Stoops has Miami ties, serving as the Hurricanes’ DB coach from 2001 to 2003, and with the work he’s done at Kentucky, he’s an intriguing candidate.
In six seasons at Kentucky, Stoops has turned the program around, compiling a 35-39 overall record, but making it to bowls each of the past three years. He has a chance to pick up win No. 10 on New Year’s Day in the Citrus Bowl against Penn State.
