Reports: Jim McElwain lands head coaching job at Group of 5 school
Former Florida coach Jim McElwain spent the 2018 season as the WR coach at Michigan after Florida fired him in 2017.
However, the ex-Gator is now on his way back to the top, reportedly landing the head job at Central Michigan.
Per reports on Sunday morning, the hiring is final, and McElwain will lead the Chippewas in 2019 and beyond:

McElwain led the Gators to back-to-back SEC East title games in 2015 and 2016, but things fell off the rails in 2017, costing him his job.
Central Michigan has produced coaches like Brian Kelly, Butch Jones and Dan Enos in recent years, so we’ll see if McElwain can eventually return to a Power 5 job in a couple of seasons.
