Tennessee at Kentucky was billed as the game of the week, but the winner of the week is arguably LSU.

Before “College GameDay” arrived in Lexington for Saturday night’s showdown, Will Wade’s Tigers picked up a controversial win at Rupp Arena during the week thanks to a tip in at the buzzer. LSU has had its share of close calls this season, but the Tigers held off Georgia on Saturday to get to 11-1 in the league, tying Tennessee at the top.

The Vols suffered their first conference loss of the season Saturday at Kentucky. If UT and LSU take care of business in midweek games, they’ll be playing for the top spot Saturday in Baton Rouge.

The current longest winning streak in the SEC is now only four games, shared by LSU and Ole Miss. The Rebels are at 8-4 in SEC play, sitting next in line –along with South Carolina – after the top three teams. A two-game winning streak has Florida back up to .500 (6-6) as the Gators try to work their way into the Big Dance.
