The SEC is always loaded with elite playmakers, but some are just more important to their teams than others.

The SEC Network recently ranked the conference’s top indispensable players for 2015, meaning teams can’t afford to lose these players. You can watch the video here, but the rankings are below.

Matt Stinchcomb’s top four indispensable players:

4. Kendell Beckwith, LSU, LB
3. JK Scott, P, Alabama
2. Alex Collins, RB, Arkansas
1. Pharoh Cooper, WR, South Carolina

Why Cooper is No. 1…

“To me, Pharoh Cooper is the most indispensable player in the entire conference. You look at South Carolina — no Mike Davis on the offensive side of the football — rebuilding on the offensive line and a new name at quarterback in Connor Mitch. Who’s your playmaker on offense? It’s Pharoh Cooper … He’s going to do it all for South Carolina this year, and he’s probably going to need to.”

Marcus Spears’ top four indispensable players:

4. Jeremy Johnson, QB, Auburn
3. De’Runnya Wilson, WR, Mississippi State
2. Ralph Webb, RB, Vanderbilt
1. Joshua Dobbs, QB, Tennessee

Why Dobbs is No. 1…

“For me, Josh Dobbs is the No. 1 player in the SEC that any team can’t afford to lose. You saw this offensive line — the same offensive line that gave up 30-something sacks — when he came in he brought it down to 13. His versatility to be able to run the football, ability to throw the football and just the shear belief he instills in this team that they can win every ballgame that they play. I think the elements of Josh Dobbs, as far as what he brings intangibly, is what sets him apart from everybody else. He’s the unsung leader of this team.”
