SEC Shorts is back yet again, capturing all the chaos from Week 13 with a hilarious episode involving the College Football Playoff race.
As the episode opens, the trio of Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas A&M is fighting to try and board the “Playoff train.” While they argue with the conductor, a group sendoff arrives to wish the schools well, unaware of the fate that befell those programs in Week 13.
Ole Miss’s sendoff includes the rally squirrel as Texas A&M basks in the thought of dominating the SEC upon the arrival of Texas. Meanwhile, Alabama is thankful the program has not returned to the Mike Shula days without Nick Saban, only for Florida to arrive with a rude announcement for the teams.
A&M is stunned to learn about a loss to Auburn. That loss makes the game against Texas rather meaningless, barring a dramatic win vs. the Longhorns and a major upset in Atlanta against Georgia.
Alabama gets in a shot at the Aggies only to be informed that the Crimson Tide had their own issues against a simple Oklahoma game plan. Alabama is further stunned to learn there were no touchdowns at all for the team in the loss.
As for Ole Miss, the Rebels say they never wanted to play in the SEC title game. Which is great, because Ole Miss will not be in Atlanta once again.
Georgia, now safely back in the Playoff picture, even shows up to politely request that the Bulldogs skip the SEC Championship Game altogether. Unfortunately, that’s not possible, and the Bulldogs are already confirmed to play the winner of the Texas-A&M game in Atlanta.
The episode finally concludes with the Playoff conductor admitting he’ll have to start looking at the best 3-loss teams in the nation, only for South Carolina to crash the party. Here it is in all its glory:
