It rained, then Leonard Fournette and LSU poured it on Western Kentucky, once again showing the World is no match for the SEC (or at least the non-Vandy portion).

Fournette added to his Heisman resume with 150 more yards and one more touchdown in a 48-20 victory in Week 8’s only SEC vs. World matchup.

The World thought it was up to something too, what with Memphis stifling Ole Miss in Week 7.

Western Kentucky probably had a little bit of confidence, too. It opened the season with a victory over Vanderbilt — one of the World’s five victories over the SEC this season — and had won four straight since losing to Indiana.

The SEC will have two more opportunities to keep it going in Week 9, and one of the games involves Vanderbilt, which is about a two-touchdown underdog at unbeaten Houston.
