Shaq lends his support to the #WeWantToPlay movement on Twitter

Since Sunday night, many FBS players around the country have taken to Twitter to say they want to play football this fall.

The players are uniting behind the hashtag “WeWantToPlay,” and a number of big-name supporters have also tweeted the message.

As you can see below, NBA legend (and former LSU superstar) Shaquille O’Neal became the latest to offer his support to the players:

Even president Donald Trump has supported the player movement on Twitter. For a season that once seemed certain to be canceled, these tweets have offered new signs of life.

There are still major obstacles to overcome before games are played, but this is positive momentum toward a return to the field this fall.
