The latest simulated BCS rankings are somewhat of a departure from other mainstream polls through Week 9 in college football.
Ohio State tops the BCS rankings, which were shared on Reddit by user OhEmmGeeBasedGod, as LSU, Alabama, Clemson and Penn State rounded out the top five. The Buckeyes are No. 3 this week in the Associated Press poll, and No. 4 in the coaches poll. LSU is No. 1 in the AP poll, and No. 2 in the coaches poll behind Alabama, which is No. 2 in the AP poll.
The first College Football Playoff rankings are set to be released on Nov. 5 during a reveal on ESPN.
Other SEC teams including Florida, which is No. 6 in all three polls, while Georgia, which is No. 8 in the AP poll, and No. 7 in the coaches poll is No. 12 in the simulated BCS. Auburn is No. 11 in the simulated BCS
Further shakeup is in the ESPN Football Power Index, which has Ohio State at No. 1, but LSU at No. 4, Georgia at No. 6.
For perspective, at the end of last season ahead of the CFP, the final simulated BCS rankings of the 2018 season saw Oklahoma sneak past by Georgia for No. 4, which mirrored the choices for the CFP.
