Some SEC fans had to deal with this issue a few weeks ago when AT&T and DirecTV were butting heads with ESPN and the SEC Network but that issue was thankfully resolved.

Turn out, many Dish Network/Sling TV customers aren’t so lucky.

On Thursday, Dish Network dropped FOX and its entire network, meaning the FOX Sports Network of programming will not be available to Dish Network customers this weekend. According to Josh Ourand of the Sports Business Journal, this outage will also affect the Big Ten Network.

I guess you could say, once again, the Big Ten has failed where the SEC did not.

Following Dish Network’s decision to drop FOX following an ongoing contract dispute, FOX released the following statement, per Ourand:

“Dish/Sling is at it again, choosing to drop leading programming as a negotiating tactic regardless of the impact on its own customers. Dish/Sling elected to drop Fox networks in an effort to coerce us to agree to outrageous demands. While we regret this is DISH/Sling’s preferred approach to negotiating, we remind our loyal viewers that the Fox services are widely available through every other major television provider.”

For Dish Network/Sling TV customers, this means that if your school is playing on any FOX, FOX Sports or the Big Ten Network, you won’t be able to watch it this weekend. This outage will also blackout NFL games set to be played on FOX.

Following this news, Ourand followed up his reporting with this tweet, which isn’t going to make DISH look great (which is probably the point of this info leaking):
