Video: Texas-sized slobberknocker between Longhorns, Baylor Bears
Baylor got their backsides handed to them by Texas in Saturday’s first quarter.
The Longhorns led 17-0 at the end of the first quarter. A hard hit by a Baylor defender may or may not have come after the whistle, a Texas player retaliated and then we got a benches-clearing brawl, baseball style.
Two things about this were pretty funny:
- Check out the Baylor coach with both arms extended, running back and forth in front of a wave of charging Bears players, as if he could get all of them to stop at once.
- The Texas player who threw off his helmet and threw up his fists looks pretty hilarious in the aftermath. But he’s lucky he didn’t get clocked. Why not leave your helmet on?

Baylor players have reason to be upset. That was really, really late. But not that hard of a hit. Clearing the bench? Come on.

After the brawl, the only penalty officials hand out is an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Kevin Vaccaro. Way late hit on Hawthorne.
