Connecticut Randy Edsall had no interest in discussing what Wake Forest did with its defensive coordinator earlier this week.

The Huskies coach, who has a struggling defense to say the least, walked away from a press conference when a reporter began a question about the Wake Forest firing of Jay Sawvel. UConn this season is 1-3 with lopsided losses to Central Florida, Boise State and Syracuse. Those losses were 56-17, 62-7 and 51-21.

“Wake Forest just fired its defensive coordinator, just curious your philosophy on that,” the reporter asked.

“What does that have to do with us?,” Edsall said. “I’m done. I can see where this is going. I’m done.”

The Huskies are last in the country in total defense, scoring defense, second to last in rushing defense and fourth from the bottom in passing defense.

They play Cincinnati, which is 4-0, this week.
