WATCH: West Virginia defender delivers blatant punch to Baylor player during tackle attempt

When football coaches talk about “delivering punches” to an opponent, they mean it in the metaphorical sense.
However, one West Virginia defender took it literally on Saturday night against Baylor, throwing a blatant punch during a tackle attempt.
As you can see in the video below, a Baylor player is wrapped up by a Mountaineer before another Mountaineer comes flying in with a powerful right hook:

Though it happened so fast, it certainly looked like the punch was deliberate, as the player came flying in and extended his fist.
It’s safe to say the Big 12 will be reviewing that play this coming week, and the puncher may find himself facing some extra discipline moving forward.
