What they're saying about the SEC: Week 6
Week 6 of 2016 was one of the strangest weeks in SEC football history. One game was played on a Sunday, one wasn’t played at all and the matchup of the week was a two-overtime thriller between Tennessee and Texas A&M. Here’s what those in the sports media had to say about last week’s action.
LSU at Florida
Alleva: "We're going to have a home game on November 19th. We are not going to change that situation." #LSU
— Ross Dellenger (@RossDellenger) October 10, 2016
So… #LSU-Florida scenarios:
– Oct. 29: LSU-UF plays but only if #Bama plays that week
– Dec. 3: LSU-UF play & SECCG moves back
— Ross Dellenger (@RossDellenger) October 10, 2016
RE: Oct. 29: #Gators would have to move up the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party to Oct. 22 to make that work. https://t.co/ZqLvDkLR4R

As 0f 2 p.m. ET on Monday, there is still no resolution to the unplayed game between LSU and Florida. Fans and even media personalities have been frustrated with the deadlock in this issue as both teams have been lobbying and playing media chicken since the game’s cancellation was announced on Thursday.
Auburn at Mississippi State
What's worse than your home team being down 21-0? Horrible karaoke of Adele by your players at Mississippi State on the big board.
— Brandon Marcello (@bmarcello) October 8, 2016
Traver Jung for Mississippi State just did the throat slash down 35-7 in Q3 after recovering a fumble.
Really?
— Barrett Sallee 🇺🇸 (@BarrettSallee) October 8, 2016
So, will people stop putting Dan Mullen on their LSU coaching rumors lists now, or does Auburn need to score another 40 unanswered points?

#Auburn moves to No. 23 in this week's @AP_Top25 Poll. #WarEagle pic.twitter.com/tfpXTTRjjw

This thrashing by Auburn was bad enough to remind Mississippi State fans of the Sylvester Croom years. Things looked hopeful from the onset as the Bulldogs jumped on a Sean White pass for an early interception, but after missing a field goal, they would have no answers. The tone around the SEC seemed to be more geared toward roasting Mississippi State than praising Auburn, but the Tigers’ offense was impressive regardless.
Tennessee at Texas A&M

Seeing Michigan, Washington, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Nebraska all in the AP top 10 makes me feel like a kid again.
— Paul Myerberg (@PaulMyerberg) October 10, 2016
Tennessee dropped from No. 9 to 17 in the AP poll after beating App State. The Vols remain at No. 9 after losing at Texas A&M.

Alvin Kamara had "one of the highest-graded performances of any running back this season," per @PFF_College. https://t.co/U5QOuHkeHY

Alvin Kamara sets a Tennessee single-game all-purpose yardage record yet does not get a weekly award from the SEC. https://t.co/7kpxUHHUEO

Not sure which is a more thankless job this fall: @UKFootball coach or moderator of a #POTUS2016 #debate.

This game was pretty hard to watch, but the finish was electric nonetheless. Sadly for Vandy fans and the Big Blue Nation, their game ran parallel to the Tennessee-Texas A&M game, meaning that the eyes of most sports pundits were elsewhere.
Alabama at Arkansas

Alabama pressured or sacked Arkansas QB Austin Allen on 39 of his 58 drops Saturday.

Nick Saban on Monday: "When we got ahead (of Arkansas), we kind of relaxed and didn't play with the same intensity."
— Cecil Hurt (@CecilHurt) October 10, 2016
Did Arkansas really just go shotgun three straight passes from the two and get picked off on third down? So dumb.
— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) October 9, 2016
South Carolina at Georgia
That long pause as Brent realizes not only is SouthCarolina not gonna recover that but UGA is going to score and get the back-door cover.
— Bruce Feldman (@BruceFeldmanCFB) October 9, 2016
The good news for South Carolina is that it has more than doubled Rutgers' offensive output from yesterday.
Bad news is it's only 108 yds

A TOUCHDOWN ON THE ONSIDE KICK!?! TERRY GODWIN!!!
— GSN (@GASportsNow) October 9, 2016
Funny how some #LSU fans/media are ripping #UF for not playing while some #UGA fans/media are ripping South Carolina for playing.
