The SEC is a top-heavy conference this year, but at least the teams at the top are some of the best in the entire country.
In fact, in CBS Sports’ updated rankings of all 127 FBS programs that are playing this season, Alabama is the new No. 1 team, passing Clemson after the Tigers struggled without QB Trevor Lawrence.
Below, you can see where all 14 SEC teams stand among their FBS competition, with Vanderbilt bringing up the rear all the way down at No. 111:

- No. 19 — Auburn

- No. 43 — Arkansas
- No. 46 — Tennessee
