Jaheim Bell, a former South Carolina tight end, has announced his new program coming out of the transfer portal.
Bell has committed to play at Florida State.
Bell’s production, or lack thereof, was one of the major storylines for the Gamecocks this season, especially before the Tennessee and Clemson games. He had a breakout game in the Duke’s Mayo Bowl last year when he made 5 catches for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns, but he never seemed to return to that kind of production level, or reach that potential.
There were near-weekly questions to Shane Beamer and offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield about Bell’s involvement in the offense, which was a source of frustration for fans.

Bell finished the 2022 season with 25 catches for 231 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 73 times for 261 yards and 3 scores.
