3-star 2018 S Israel Mukuamu committed to the Florida State Seminoles back in July, but decommitted on Nov. 29 amid all the rumors surrounding coach Jimbo Fisher, who eventually left for Texas A&M.

Now, Mukuamu has found a new school, announcing on Saturday evening that he was committing to South Carolina.

As you can see in the tweet below, he says he is now 1,000 percent committed to coach Will Muschamp’s Gamecocks program:

Mukuamu, a 6-5, 187-pound safety, is a Louisiana native and also drew interest from Georgia, Florida, Indiana, Purdue and other programs.

According to the 247Sports composite, Mukuamu is the No. 39 safety in the class of 2018 and the No. 19 overall recruit from the state of Louisiana.

With Mukuamu on board, the Gamecocks now have 19 players in their 2018 class, which ranks No. 8 in the SEC and No. 21 nationally, per 247Sports.
