As the Miami Hurricanes continue to prepare for their game against Alabama to open the season, they have released new uniforms to bridge multiple generations.

They described them this way: “Merging old school tradition with new school threads. Whether you’re an OG Canes fan or just steppin’ onto campus, there is always a sense of pride representing the orange & green.”

The Hurricanes are ramping up for a season that starts with the Crimson Tide in Atlanta led by D’Eriq King, who led a group of veteran players who decided to return. That group includes wide receiver Mike Harley, offensive lineman Jarrid Williams and defensive stars Zach McCloud, Jon Ford and Amari Carter.

King completed 64 percent of his passes last season, and Miami had a chance to play in the Orange Bowl, but was beaten by North Carolina in the regular-season finale and settled for the Cheez-It Bowl. King tore his ACL in that game, and Miami lost 37-34 to finish the season 8-3.

The game is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC on Sept. 4.
