Mike Norvell's press conference abruptly ends in poetic fashion after 0-3 start
Mike Norvell’s postgame press conference following the 20-12 loss to the Memphis Tigers could not have ended in more poetic fashion.
It was cut short by a fire alarm as FSU continued its fall from grace at 0-3 in a season in which the Seminoles were expected to be one of the best teams in the nation. Instead, the Seminoles have become the laughingstock of college football.
“The fire alarm has gone off during Mike Norvell’s press conference and the press conference has been cut short,” FSU beat reporter Liam Rooney said on X. “Just a bad day overall for FSU.”

With the loss, Norvell is now deemed one of the biggest candidates on the hot seat after Florida State received mixed opinions from the public when they were barred from the College Football Playoff despite a perfect regular season record last year. The Seminoles were blasted, 63-3 by the Georgia Bulldogs in the Orange Bowl.
It seems to already be a lost season for FSU, but it will have a chance to get back on track as the schedule moves forward with a matchup against the California Golden Bears. At this point, the Playoff is an afterthought for the program with the Seminoles still searching for their first victory of 2024.
You cannot build a team entirely through the transfer portal.
FSU doesn’t have a team, they have a band of mercenaries at this point.
None of those kids playing today look like they give a sh!t or a shake about FSU.
He was like, “Well, this might as well happen.”
When you have a majority of players that have no attachment to your program other than what you paid them to transfer there, and you choose a QB like DJU that has shown they are erratic and inconsistent you are asking for trouble. Not to mention that DJU is now playing for his 3rd team in 3 years, last year he had a completion percentage of 57% (his comp% in 4 years playing is 66.7 as a backup, then as a starter it has been 55.6, 62.1, and 57.1), threw 1 int for every 3 TD. He is obviously not the QB to build your team around much less build team unity.
