Texas and Texas A&M won’t be meeting on the football field any time in the near future, but the two programs are going head-to-head in a big recruiting battle.
Anderson shared Sunday that he will be pledging to either Steve Sarkisian or Jimbo Fisher. Out of Beaumont, Texas, Anderson is rated 4-stars, the No. 3 safety, No. 11 Texas recruit and No. 46 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite.
Anderson has picked up 44 offers during his recruitment. In February, he named a top five that included LSU, Michigan and USC alongside the Aggies and Longhorns. Anderson was pledged to LSU from Sept. 1, 2019, to Jan. 30, 2021. Anderson visited Alabama, Texas and Texas A&M last month.
