Texas A&M wins if: The apocalypse doesn’t occur prior to Saturday and there’s no lightning-induced postponement.

SMU wins if: The NCAA retroactively levies sanctions against Kevin Sumlin’s program for paying Johnny Manziel. (No, this isn’t based on anything credible. But it would be ironic, considering Eric Dickerson’s recent comments.)

What it means if Texas A&M wins: Not much.

What it means if SMU wins: Area 51 exists.
