Jaylen Henderson reportedly expected to be healthy for spring practice after Texas Bowl injury
Jaylen Henderson suffered a humerus fracture to his right arm during Texas A&M’s loss to Oklahoma State earlier this week, according to a report.
That news was shared by 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz on Friday evening. Zenitz’s report says that Henderson is expected to be out for about 6-8 weeks but “should be ready” for spring practice in College Station.
The injury that Texas A&M QB Jaylen Henderson suffered on the first play of A&M’s bowl game vs. Oklahoma State was a humerus fracture to his non-throwing arm, a source tells @247sports.

Henderson previously announced that he has already undergone “successful surgery” to repair the fracture.
Henderson’s injury happened on the first play of the Aggies’ Texas Bowl loss to Oklahoma State. Here’s a replay of the injury:

It was an unfortunate way for Henderson’s season to end. He took over as Texas A&M’s starting quarterback during the month of November and delivered wins over Mississippi State and Abilene Christian. Henderson also played well in a Week 13 loss to LSU on the road.
Henderson is expected to compete for A&M’s starting job in the spring, although Conner Weigman is considered the favorite to win the job. Weigman began the 2023 season as A&M’s starter and played well before suffering a season-ending injury.
Texas A&M ended the 2023 season with a 7-6 record.
