Jimbo Fisher addresses future coaching plans ahead of 2024 season

Jimbo Fisher is not currently on a coaching staff for the 2024 season. However, it does not sound like his coaching days are entirely a thing of the past.
Fisher was fired by A&M after a 6-4 start to the 2024 season and a 45-25 overall record while with the Aggies. He received a massive buyout as a part of his contract, and he did not sign to coach anywhere for the season ahead.
However, on Monday morning, Fisher spent time on ESPN Radio with Peter Burns. The former head coach went on to say there’s only so much hunting and fishing one can do before looking at a return to coaching.
Fisher also claimed he’ll be watching lots of film throughout this season to see if there’s “the right opportunity for me to get back into” coaching next season.

While Fisher’s ending at A&M was a dud, it’s not hard to envision Fisher back on the sidelines in 2025. Across Florida State and Texas A&M, he holds a 128-48 overall record. He also won 3 ACC Championships with the Seminoles and the 2013 BCS National Championship at FSU.
