Four-star dual-threat quarterback Kellen Mond has taken a big step toward becoming an Aggie.

Mond, a former Baylor commit, signed financial aid paperwork with Texas A&M on Monday. Mond’s announcement on Twitter states that he plans to enroll in January.

The financial agreement does not bind Mond to sign with the Aggies on National Signing Day, but it’s a sign that he’s serious about getting to College Station in January and enrolling in classes.

In the wake of Art Briles’ firing at Baylor, Mond decommitted from the Bears. He chose Texas A&M over Auburn and committed on June 27.
