LISTEN: Steve Spurrier thinks Texas A&M fans 'have every right' to expect top-10 rankings
After blowing a 34-point lead against UCLA and barely defeating Nicholls State, it’s not exactly the best time to be a Texas A&M fan.
Right now, the seat couldn’t be hotter under embattled coach Kevin Sumlin, who likely needs a strong finish to the season to save his job.
Though former Florida and South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier thinks Sumlin does a fantastic job with recruiting, he said he understands the frustrations of Aggies fans, who he believes have a “right to believe they should be a consensus top-10 team,” as you can hear in the ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM clip below:

Obviously, that will be easier said than done for the Aggies this year, but Sumlin’s squads have started the last three seasons at least 5-0 before finishing 8-5 each year, so he needs a strong finish in the worst way.
The Aggies can get their season back on track this weekend when they host Louisiana-Lafayette.
The game kicks off at 11 a.m. Central time and can be seen on the SEC Network.
