LISTEN: Texas A&M shares live reactions of Kyle Field videoboard producers that led to key overturned play
When LSU S Grant Delpit intercepted a Kellen Mond pass in the final seconds of the fourth quarter in Week 13, it looked like the Tigers had just sealed win No. 10.
Coach Ed Orgeron even got a Gatorade bath, but it was all a bit premature. The play was overturned, as Mond’s knee was down before he threw the pass.
As you can hear in the video below, though, the Texas A&M videoboard crew was all over the huge play, though. The operator can be heard saying the knee was down and calling up quick replays for the Kyle Field crowd:
"His knee was down, wasn't it?"

Did that change the way the refs handled the play? It’s impossible to tell now, but the videoboard operators did a great job of alerting everyone in the stadium to Mond’s knee.
Then, seven overtimes later, the Aggies walked off the field with a win when it looked like they’d certainly lost.
