Texas A&M will be a new-look team in many ways in 2024. Aggie fans will get their first chance to see all the new faces in Kyle Field in just under three months.

The annual Maroon & White spring game will be held on April 20, Texas A&M announced Wednesday. Kickoff time is to be announced at a later date.

There should be increased interest in this year’s Maroon & White Game with a new head coach. Texas A&M fans are familiar with Mike Elko from his four seasons in College Station as defensive coordinator on Jimbo Fisher’s staff. After two seasons as head coach at Duke, Elko has returned to Aggieland as the new head coach.

In the transfer portal era, coaching changes lead to roster changes. Texas A&M has been the busiest SEC team in the portal, adding 23 transfer signees. Among FBS teams, only Louisville has taken more transfers, with 26 commitments.

The Aggies’ 2024 transfer class ranks No. 2 nationally on 247Sports, behind only Ole Miss. Texas A&M has brought in multiple transfers from SEC rosters, including DB Dezz Ricks (Alabama), LB Scooby Williams (Florida), CB Jaydon Hill (Florida) K Jared Zirkel (Georgia) and S De’Rickey Wright (Vanderbilt). The Aggies saw 23 players exit via the portal in the offseason.

In addition to the transfers, Elko’s staff also added nine early enrollees in the 2024 recruiting class. Texas A&M’s 2024 class ranks No. 19 nationally on the 247Sports Composite, with five additional signees and two verbal pledges ahead of February’s National Signing Day.
