Ruffin is a huge pickup for the Aggies in the class of 2026. He’s the No. 238 overall player and the No. 28 defensive lineman in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 13 prospect from the state of North Carolina.
Ruffin attends North Duplin High School in Mount Olive, North Carolina. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 307 pounds.
Ruffin chose Texas A&M over programs such as Ohio State, Michigan, USC, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech, amongst others. All of those programs have offered Ruffin a scholarship since the beginning of his senior season, per 247Sports.
It’s still very early in the 2026 recruiting cycle, but Texas A&M is off to a good start. Ruffin is the 4th prospect already who has verbally committed to Mike Elko and his staff in College Station.
