Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher caught some flack for grabbing the facemask of junior linebacker Tyrel Dodson during an outburst late in the third quarter of last Saturday’s 24-17 win against Arkansas.

Dodson didn’t seem to mind — he’s used to it, after all.

In a video tweeted by the Houston Chronicle’s Brent Zwerneman, Dodson said his mother used to grab his facemask during his youth football days.

Dodson tweeted his support of Fisher and that his coach “did the right thing,” so it’s not surprising to see him unfazed by the incident.

Fisher explained that he was trying to keep Dodson from getting ejected, but at least one NFL defensive end wasn’t buying his reasoning and called him out for grabbing a player’s facemask.

Either way, Dodson seems to harbor no ill will toward Fisher.
