Texas A&M losing redshirt freshman forward to transfer
The Texas A&M Aggies are undergoing a coaching transition this offseason, moving from Billy Kennedy to Buzz Williams as head coach.
That means there’s going to be some roster turnover, and on Monday evening, a third player entered the NCAA transfer portal.
As you can see in the tweet below, redshirt freshman forward John Walker III has decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal and explore his options:
After discussing with my family I have decided to transfer from Texas A&M. I’ll never forget this university has done for me . pic.twitter.com/I81v0dJvpU

This doesn’t mean Walker is for sure leaving, but he’s exploring his transfer options, and it seems he is leaning toward transferring.
Walker appeared in 29 games this past season, starting one. He averaged 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game.
