After 1 month of football, Kirk Herbstreit sticking to SEC Championship Game picks
Before the season started, ESPN pundit Kirk Herbstreit predicted the eventual 2016 SEC title game. He felt as if Alabama and Tennesssee were destined to face each other in Atlanta.
Fast-forward one month, and his mind has yet to be changed.
"I said before the year Alabama would beat Tennessee in Atlanta and I still feel that's the way it will play out" @KirkHerbstreit

Herbstreit featured on ‘The Paul Finebaum Show’ Tuesday afternoon. He reiterated his initial guess when speaking about the conference race. Herbstreit expects Alabama to beat Tennessee in the conference title game.
When looking at the current scope of the conference, Herbstreit appears to be making an educated decision. Based upon the first month of the season, Alabama’s biggest competition may have been Ole Miss. However, the Crimson Tide have already beaten the Rebels. Outside of perhaps Texas A&M, Nick Saban’s team doesn’t appear to have a big threat within the SEC West.
Tennessee’s biggest competition in winning the SEC East may have been Florida — a team it beat last weekend. The other potential challenger is Georgia — the team Tennessee will face this Saturday.
Assuming Tennessee takes care of business, it appears to have a pretty easy path to Atlanta.
