Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, Tennessee transfer, reveals commitment to ACC program
Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, a former 5-star forward who entered the transfer portal from Tennessee about 2 weeks ago, has landed with his new program.
Huntley-Hatfield revealed on Sunday night reported that he’s landed with Louisville as new coach Kenny Payne’s first roster addition. Huntley-Hatfield appeared in 35 games for the Vols this past season, and made 13 starts. He averaged 3.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per contest.
“The connections Coach KP (Kenny Payne) has is amazing and I genuinely feel like he’s being honest with me,” he told On3 Sports. “Whilst he was at Kentucky, he recruited & developed so many guys like me… guys that are where I ultimately want to get one day. I feel like he can help me in multiple ways.”
A little more than a week ago, Huntley-Hatfield announced a Top 5 of SMU, Auburn, Wake Forest, Louisville, and Arizona State.
Huntley-Hatfield joined Tennessee’s starting lineup following an injury to Olivier Nkamhoua in February, Rocky Top Insider noted. Huntley-Hatfield would go on to join Tennessee’s starting lineup for the final 13 games of the season, improving his statistics to 4.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
