The Tennessee Volunteers and the Purdue Boilermakers went into overtime Thursday in the Music City Bowl, and it had a wild finish.

The Boilermakers ended up winning with a field goal in overtime 48-45.

However, the officials had a controversial call that went against Tennessee on the first overtime possession. Running back Jaylen Wright was ruled by the officials that his forward progress was stopped before he crossed goal line. The officials basically said the the whistle is irrelevant as the official on that side ruled that forward progress had been stopped.

That came on a 4th down play, as the Vols elected to go for it rather than kick the field goal.
