Dylan Sampson had a huge first half on Saturday night in Athens as Tennessee looks for a big upset win over Georgia.

Sampson’s biggest play was a 27-yard touchdown run in the final minutes of the first half to give the Vols a 17-14 lead.

Here’s a replay of Sampson’s score:

That’s Sampson’s 21 rushing touchdown of the season. He leads all SEC players in that stat as well as rushing yards entering Week 12.

This has been a back-and-forth first half in Athens. Tennessee jumped out to a 10-0 lead, but Georgia tacked on a pair of touchdowns in the second quarter to grab the edge right back before Sampson’s score put the Vols in front.

Georgia ultimately drove down the field and knotted the game at 17-17 just before halftime.

Sampson finished the first half with 11 carries for 68 yards and that crucial touchdown. He averaged 6.2 yards per carry in the first half. He also caught 1 pass for 8 yards before the break.

Tennessee is looking for its first win over Georgia since 2016.
