After a long recruitment that went into National Signing Day, John Mincey has made his decision, he’s signing with Tennessee. Mincey made his announcement during a ceremony at his Clinch County High School Wednesday.

Adding another layer of intrigue to his recruitment, the 6-foot-4, 255-pound Homerville, Ga., native had narrowed his list down to the Volunteers and South Carolina before making his final decision. Winning in recruiting is always sweeter when it comes at the hands of a division rival.

Mincey rates as a three-star prospect and the No. 38 strongside defensive end in the nation according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. A one-time Arkansas commit, Mincey left the Razorbacks after Bret Bielema was dismissed by the school. The Georgia native also held offers from Florida, Florida State, and Auburn.

South Carolina and Tennessee were the only two schools to land an official visit from Mincey following his decommitment from the Razorbacks.
