Jarrett Guarantano has a long history with the Tagovailoa family, and he shared a little bit about that during his visit to SEC Media Days.

“Me, Tua and his brother actually have a good relationship,” the Tennessee quarterback said as he recalled going to quarterback camp with Tua Tagovailoa when he was in third or fourth grade. “That whole family is really good people and I really like Tua’s game, I think he’s a great player. The whole family talking about loving each other and being around good people and they truly are.”

Guarantano added that Tua Tagovailoa is a young quarterback in the sense that he only will improve, especially  with the players he has around him at Alabama.

This adds another element to the annual rivalry that this year takes place on Oct. 19 in Tuscaloosa.
