The Tennessee Volunteers held their second scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday, and there were some positive.

Coach Jeremy Pruitt never reveals much during his press conferences, but he did have some good things to say about QB Jarrett Guarantano.

Pruitt praised Guarantano’s quick decisions and work with the offensive line on Saturday.

“Jarrett has been really consistent this camp,” he said. “To me you’re looking for a guy to get the ball out of his hands and get the protection right and he did a nice job of that.”

Guarantano will have a lot of expectations on his shoulders this fall, and it seems he’s ready to step up.

He’ll be working with new OC Jim Chaney, so we’ll see how those two work together when Week 1 rolls around in a couple of weeks.
