Pat Narduzzi and Hendon Hooker shared a moment following Tennessee’s 34-27 victory over Pitt Saturday evening.

The Vols’ win was hard fought, and Narduzzi knows that. When it counted, it was Hooker who delivered the game-winning play to catapult Tennessee to 2-0.

Narduzzi didn’t need to do this, and that’s what makes it cool.

Hooker used to play for Virginia Tech before transferring to Tennessee last season. The two former ACC foes know each other well, and you can tell the respect is mutual.

Tennessee is 2-0 heading into a “gimme” game against Akron. If they can win that like they are supposed to, the Vols will likely have a top 25 showdown with Florida inside Neyland Stadium on their hands.

Sept. 24 will be a good one.
