Tennessee adds Australian punter to 2022 recruiting class
There has been a late addition to Tennessee’s 2022 recruiting. Jackson Ross, a punter from Melbourne, Australia, committed to the Volunteers on Friday.
Ross made the announcement via his Twitter account:
Tennessee sportsbooks are live in the Volunteer state since November 1, 2020. Tennessee was the first SEC state to legalize sports betting.
I am honoured to announce that I have committed to study and play football at The University of Tennessee on full scholarship.
I appreciate all the support, in particular from @ProkickAus, @JohnnyPKA and @tglees.@Vol_Football @coachjoshheupel @CoachEkelerUT #GBO #GoVols 🍊 pic.twitter.com/RjGHl59BhA

Out of ProKick Australia, which helps train Australian athletes to play American football, Ross is listed at 6-3, 190 pounds on 247Sports.
Tennessee returns senior starting punter Paxton Brooks for 2022. Ross will likely compete for the starting job in 2023.
