Fresh off his visit to Rocky Top over the weekend, four-star Tennessee commit Alontae Taylor has canceled his planned trip to Tuscaloosa. The Manchester, Tenn., native made the trip to Knoxville to watch the team’s most recent scrimmage and to better familiarize himself with the program’s new receivers coach Kevin Beard.

Needless to say, it appears the Tennessee visit went over well for Taylor, who announced an update on his planned trip to Tuscaloosa for the upcoming weekend.

The 6-foot, 182-pound Taylor committed to Tennessee back on June 18, 2016. Since announcing his commitment to the Vols, the scholarship offers have really stacked up for Taylor. Heading into the summer of his senior prep season, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, and Stanford have all extended scholarship offers to the 2018 Under Armour All-American. 247Sports Composite ranks Taylor as the No. 14 athlete in the nation and the No. 7 prospect from Tennessee in the 2018 recruiting cycle.

Take a look at Taylor’s junior year highlight reel and you’ll see why so many elite programs are interested in landing the Tennessee native.
