The 2021 season is a big one for the Tennessee football program.

First, it will be the 100th anniversary of the opening of Neyland Stadium. The iconic venue was built in 1921 and has hosted the Volunteers ever since, replacing Walt Field.

It’s also the first season for head coach Josh Heupel as the former Missouri offensive coordinator returns to the SEC after 3 seasons at the helm of UCF. The Vols, once one of the premier programs in college football, is looking to return to its winning ways following the disappointing tenure of Jeremy Pruitt.

Excitement is certainly building on Rocky Top with the season opener set for Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET against Bowling Green on the SEC Network. Ahead of kickoff, the Tennessee football team released a hype video narrated by former Vols and NFL offensive lineman Ramon Foster, filled with highlights from seasons past as the university celebrates 100 seasons of Neyland Stadium.
