Tennessee sells out ticket allotment for season opener against West Virginia
Vol Nation is ready for the start of the Jeremy Pruitt era.
Tennessee fans can be some of the most vocal in the country, and once again, they are excited about a new season of Volunteers football.
In fact, they are so excited that Tennessee has reportedly sold out its allotment of 16,397 tickets for the season opener against West Virginia on Sept. 1.
Jimmy Hyams of WNML radio in Knoxville shared the news on Thursday:
Tennessee has sold out its allotment of 16,397 for West Virginia game Sept. 1. UT allotment was 12,000 but UT asked for ~4,400 more. Tickets remain: Go to the website https://t.co/bP81up23ei which will direct customers to Ticketmaster. WVA got 12,000 and didn't ask for more

This wasn’t news to everyone in Knoxville, however:

As Hyams explained in his tweet, Tennessee even asked for extra tickets, but that didn’t prevent Volunteers fans from selling out their allotment. West Virginia hasn’t done the same, and the Mountaineers didn’t receive any extra tickets.
Tennessee and West Virginia will meet at 3:30 p.m. ET on Sept. 1 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. This is the first-ever matchup between these two programs.
