Tennessee on top of TV ratings third time this season
Team 120 continues to be one of the most popular squads in college football.
For the third time in 2016, the most-watched college football game of the weekend featured the Volunteers, as more than 6.5 million people watched the top 10 showdown between Tennessee and Texas A&M in college station:
Tennessee-A&M (CBS): 6.55M
FSU-Mia (ABC): 5.54M
Ala-Ark (ESPN): 4.44M
Notre Dame-NC St (ABC): 3.72M
Texas-Oklahoma (FS1) 2.79M— Sports TV Ratings (@SportsTVRatings) October 11, 2016
Tennessee and Virginia Tech’s meeting in “The Battle at Birstol” was a ratings winner for ESPN in Week 2. UT’s 38-28 comeback win over Florida was on top of the ratings for CBS in Week 4.
One would expect the combination of Uncle Verne and the Vols to score with viewers again on The Third Saturday in October as the Volunteers host No. 1 Alabama.
