Tiyon Evans said this week that the Tennessee running backs were going to have some fun with Mizzou’s lackluster run defense.

That was certainly the case in the first quarter, as the Vols jumped out to an impressive 21-3 lead over the Tigers in Columbia.

The third touchdown was scored by Evans. After a Mizzou punt pinned the Vols at their own 8-yard line, Evans got the carry and went 92 yards for an untouched touchdown:

Mizzou’s run defense has been an utter embarrassment this year. Entering the game, the Tigers were No. 129 out of 130 FBS teams defending the run.

We’ll see if things turn around. If not, Evans and the Vols could have a historic day running the ball.
