After the Greg Schiano fiasco on Sunday, the Tennessee Volunteers are scrambling to find a new head coach.

There aren’t many options out there at the moment, so the Vols could reportedly turn to former Tennessee QB and current USC offensive coordinator Tee Martin for the position. Martin has never been a head coach before, but he’d probably have the support of Vol Nation.

During the Pac-12 Championship Game conference call on Monday, USC coach Clay Helton said he believes Martin is ready to lead a big-name program when the time comes:

That’s a ringing endorsement for Martin, who has been at USC since 2012, working with the wide receivers as he’s made his way up the ladder to offensive coordinator.

Will the Vols eventually call Martin to come home? That is unclear at this moment, but with each day the Vols don’t have a new head coach, the anger will only intensify in Knoxville.
