Arch Manning had a lavish official visit at Texas, and details are beginning to emerge from The Athletic’s Sam Kahn Jr., who noted that the big weekend including Manning and 8 others as the Longorns did everything they could to attract the 5-star quarterback.
Among the details are a 5-star hotel, an upscale steakhouse, a cruise on a lake, custom cakes, an ice sculpture, TopGolf and an open bar for parents. It was a 48-hour trip in Austin, and the entire weekend in mid-June cost Texas nearly $280,000, all paid for out of the school’s substantial recruiting budget.
We FOIA’d receipts and itineraries to see what it was like when Texas hosted Arch Manning and 8 others on an official visit.
From a 5-star hotel, to an upscale steakhouse, to a cruise on the lake, the Longhorns rolled out the red carpet.
